A native Houstonian with a Texas-sized love for Houston politics and the Gulf Coast, Alex was born, raised, and educated within the 610 Loop. After interning on local races, including Harris County Judge Ed Emmett’s landslide victory in 2010, Alex had the privilege of being Representative Sarah Davis’ campaign manager for her 2012 re-election bid. Over the next few cycles, Alex consulted on dozens of campaigns throughout Texas, collaborating with some of the best political professionals to deliver victories in high-profile races. Alex has since formed Maverick Campaigns, a full-service political consulting firm that provides political advertising, voter contact, and data analytics to campaigns.

 

With an intense passion for electoral politics, and a commitment to separating the signal from the noise, Alex firmly believes that it is always an interesting time in American politics. Alex earned a degree in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas, and resides in Houston with his wife, where he guzzles Diet Coke and pursues his interests in music, real estate, and personal health and fitness.
